Project Management

Project Management is the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.  At Advance Tool we pride ourselves in continually developing our talented group of people.  Our project managers bring years of experience and skills to your project and understand how to communicate progress to our customers.  Since ATi is an engineering-based company that utilizes our fully developed program management system our customers have access to all of our support functions through a single contact.  Our project managers are assigned to customers based on their market experience and have the ability to access all functions of the company to drive your project to completion.  Reporting to our customers at their prescribed intervals is accomplished through use of milestone driven progress reports and is real time.  The result is your project is delivered right, on time, and on budget.

Engineering

Your mold is the heart of the injection molding process and must be properly designed, engineered, and constructed to assure maximum productivity.  ATi mold design standards were created with the intent to maximize good mold design, minimize downtime and maintenance costs, and insure uniformity for your molds.  Our mold designers typically started as mold makers and understand how to design molds using the latest CAD software that are efficient running while minimizing cycle times and downtime.

ATi offers full-service engineering consultation and support from the earliest stages of conceptual product design. Drawing on years of problem-solving experience, we can often suggest design modifications to enhance mold ability and optimize end-product appearance and performance. Our engineers can also assist with prototyping, minimizing product development time and maximizing speed to market. Remember it is attention to detail that makes the difference between an average mold and a high quality production tool.

Manufacturing

In manufacturing having state-of-the-art equipment is important and so is proven repeatable processes.  Advance Tool, an ISO 9001-2000 company,  has fully integrated, closed loop CAD/CAM/CNC/CMM for high speed mold manufacturing.  Coupled with ATi’s work progress tracking and reporting system we can tell you where your mold is at any given time.  Equipment, software systems, certifications…we have all that but what sets us apart is our people!  There is no substitute for an experienced highly motivated workforce.  At ATi many of our mold makers and machinists have twenty years or more with our company.  You see, it’s a great place to work and there is no substitute for that kind of dedication by our employees.  You want it done right, on time, and within budget select ATi for your critical project.

Testing

Once your mold build is complete it is imperative that you receive a mold that is both correct and ready to run in your facility.  ATi’s Development Center allows us to do complete testing, sampling, and first article inspection on all your molds and spares before they ship. The ATi Development Center is located just 2 miles from ATi’s Headquarters and is equipped with eight molding machines ranging from 20-500 ton.  In addition we have the trained personnel required to perform a variety of services our customers may require. Other capabilities of the Development Center include testing prototype tooling and prototype parts, mold analysis reporting, inspection services, and short run production.  We provide our customers with processing parameters and complete electronic mold manuals. For molds that exceed our press sizes or involve automation systems, we work with partners specialized in mold try-outs and robotics.  The bottom line is you get a mold that is complete and runs right.
